A dish glove is a sort of container, that can hold a hand.
It is used as protection. Protect the hand from contamination and dirt, harsh chemicals, drying and aging from water. The dish glove also allows hotter water than your bare skin can tolerate, to be able to clean more thoroughly.
You can do the dishes and clean without gloves, but if you do a lot of dishing and cleaning your hands will tell. They will carry traces and these kinds of traces we wish to eliminate.
Holding is a psychologic concept that aim to create a safe and supportive environment, free from judgment.
